For Black Friday, I decided to embark on a journey to unlikely travel destination. While most people are out shopping and scooping up deals, I went to a place with no stores, banks, traffic lights, or malls for about a 100 mile radius. Best of all, it is a place known for some something money can't buy - nature! Welcome to Big Sur!
Just a few hours south of San Francisco, Big Sur consists of 90 miles of the highest and most remote coastal mountains in the continental US. It was the perfect location for my latest photo shoot. Riding along Highway 1, there were plenty of places to stop and photograph, including Bixby Bridge, McWay Falls, and the Lone Cypress. The cliffs reached about 1,000 ft high above the Pacific Ocean, which made for stunning panoramic views. Check out the Bixby Bridge photo in the Squiggles Designs Nature Collection.
