Santa Barbara has some amazing places to photograph. Here are a few of my favorites:
1. Presidio of Santa Barbara 1:31 A historic landmark and adobe building built by Spain in 1782. This building is free to explore and right in the center of the city. 2.Santa Barbara Courthouse - 0:53 This is the crown jewel of the city. Built in Spanish Revival Architecture in 1927, this building has an 85 foot clock tower that looks out onto the city in every direction. Here, visitors can see mountain and ocean views. The facade of the building is exquisite- giant arches, bougainvillea, fountains. The interior amazed me at every corner. There were mosaics, chandeliers, long corridors, a wooden courtroom. Then there's the outside, with a sunken garden spanning an entire block. 3. Santa Barbara Botanical Gardens - 0:00 -1:00 A hidden gem for all nature lovers. Up the road from the historic Mission is the Botanical Gardens. Admission is about $10 and well worth it. The trail spans almost a mile, with a walk through desert plants all they way to a Redwood forest. 4. Historic Mission - not featured in the film This mission is one of my favorites in all of California. Not only can you walk right into the mission (which you need to pay admission fees at others), but the facade of the building is beautiful with symmetrical pink bell towers. The Mission is also easily accessible from the downtown trolley. Comments are closed.
