Most people come to Norway for the breathtaking mountains and fjord scenery. But getting to the fjords can be an event in itself. On our trip, we boarded the Bergen Rail which takes visitors on a seven hour tour through some of the most beautiful and varied landscapes. It runs alongside countless rivers, waterfalls, glaciers, mountains, and villages. The train itself is comfortable with large windows for photographing.
Check out our behind the scenes video on touring Norway by rail.

Here are a few of Bergen's highlights:
1. Bergen Havn This is the port of Bergen, complete with shops, boats, and cobblestone streets. 2. Bryggen The medieval old wharf area and UNESCO World Heritage Site. 3. Mount Ulriken Take a cable car or a hike to the top of the mountain for stunning views of the city. 4. Roedne Fjord Boat Cruise They don't call Bergen the gateway to the Fjords for nothing. This cruise departs from Bergen Havn ant takes you through the Roedne Fjord. 5. Floyen Funicular This is one of Bergen's top attractions and best way to get a bird's eye view of the city. What are your favorite things to see in Bergen?
